New Bordeaux arrival
Property of the Salette family since 1972, 28 hectares of vines averaging 20 years old on gravel and clay-limestone soil in the heart of the Medoc. Dense, deep colour with a black cherry hue and a nose of ripe blackcurrant. Fresh and precise on the palate with well defined tannins and a soft finish. Fermented three to four weeks in temperature controlled cement vats, aged 18 months in oak barrels. Good with dishes cooked in sauce, grilled meat and fish, and cheese, served at 17-18C.
